Our research with hundreds of veterinary professionals and hundreds of pet owners has shown a distinct gap or disconnect between what we as veterinary professionals think our clients need, and what they actually need or want. Many veterinary practices are doing things very well, but there is a clear desire on the part of our pet owners for us to do more; to understand more, to help prepare them better for their loss, and to signpost where they can access more support if required.
